The Pindar Mobile App is poised to capitalize on Apple’s hugely successful iPhone & iPad devices. With the amazing quality and smooth user interface it made perfect sense to present Pindar and it’s product line to those devices. Upon initial launch of the app from the desktop the user is presented with menu driven options such as, “Our Tasting Room”, “Events”, “Our Wines”. Using the Geo Location component native to these devices “Directions” to the vineyard are easily available to the user from his/her current location. Social networking is also included within the app to make posting comments to Facebook and Twitter one click away.
One of the goals of the Pindar app was to offer “Food & Wine Pairings”. According to “Pindar” pairing wine with food is more art than science, we thought what better place to give customers a “starting point” to explore our wine collection. Jim Faulknor, Vice President , say’s with Engine Room Digital’s vast experience with content management we integrated the ability to push live updates to several areas of the app, in particular the “Events” section is dynamic and allows Pindar to keep the content relevant in real-time without the app having to be updated by the user.
